Well Being Tips for Turbulent Times

In the last weeks we’ve all felt it - the slow-moving tsunami that has been COVID19 shifting our lives. Many of us feel the simultaneous panic mixed with being under-stimulated.

Being a current grad student during this is odd. Struggling to focus on my studies while not worrying about practical life concerns. To add a level: I study human flourishing and well-being. My classmates and I are looking for ways to use what we’ve been learning to help humanity weather this storm. One project we’ve developed is a document titled Well-being Tips for Turbulent Times.

Positive psychology is the science of subjective well-being - what makes a healthy, good life.  Below find evidence-based support for well-being actions to help you flourish through current times whether you are a parent, professional working from home, or young adult.

Know that we are not licensed therapists, clinicians, or medical professionals. Tips are:

  • Easy to do with little to no extra material, effort, or interaction with large gathering or public spaces.

  • Based on evidence-based research about cultivating well-being.
